Made of rust-resistant aluminum, this version of our Traditional Gate Latch has an 8" latch-arm.

This is a two-sided latch and is operable from both the outside and the inside of the gate. This latch is also self-latching, which means that when the gate is being closed, the latch-arm will pass over the strike and fall into the catch.

As you approach the double gate from the street, you'll see the ring handle on a plate (the latch-arm is on the yard-side of the gate). On the opposing gate, you'll have an additional ring handle on a plate to complement the functional ring.  This gate latch set works best with in-swinging gates. If you have an out-swinging gate, it is possible to use this set; however, the latch-arm portion of the latch must be on the street-side of the gate.

Options:

• With double gates, you'll need a cane bolt to keep the fixed gate shut. When placing your order, choose to add a  20" black stainless steel cane bolt if you wish.  
• Accommodates gates up to 3.5" thick. Please specify gate thickness with your order.
